The connection capacity is lower than the TEC in the Connection Agreement to account for the battery degradation and ensure that the stated connection capacity can be maintained for the life of the agreement. This has been done in line with paragraphs 2.1.4 and 2.1.5 on page 3 of the NESO guidance document "Method of Calculation and Capacity". Please note that the Appendix C and grid documents refer to a battery and solar unit ("Power Station") connected at the same connection point. No applications will be submitted for the solar unit in the 2025 pre-qualification and it does not have a capacity market agreement from previous auctions. Therefore, the site is not a multi-unit site, in line with paragraph 2.1.1 on page 3 of the NESO guidance document "Multi-Unit Sites". Under rule 3.5.1A, the connection capacity used in future applications for the solar unit will be defined to ensure that the aggregate connection capacity does not exceed the total TEC stated in the Connection Agreement. The approach taken is in line with paragraph 3.2.8 on page 8 of the NESO guidance document "Connection Arrangement and Agreements".
